Genetically modified organism or so called GMO is a kind of organism engineered by scientists from food plants. However, many Scientists have cited several health risks to human health if consumed drastically. Hence, individuals prefer processed foods without GMO ingredients. More and more people are demanding GMO free foods. As you can see, food products in supermarkets or groceries are labeled with GMO free.

The adaptation of these plants is not a new phenomenon. In the present time, new innovations are invested and converted the process into vitamins. People are now aware of the benefits of non GMO vitamins and supplements in day to day basis. This is because, they find it essential and efficient to their health and helps to boost their immunity level.

It is said that for many years, gardeners and farmers have considered the crossbreeding process for certain plant species to create another type of plants that could produce heartier, more beautiful and tasting crops. But, this type of food processing have increased they concerns of many individuals in the world because of this practice of plant breeding process worldwide.

With the use of the modern genetic engineering process, genes from a certain plant, animal or virus are inserted into different organisms, most often are plants and alter the genetic codes which determines all physical characteristics of the organisms. By using this technology, scientists have also created potatoes that produce their own pesticides or potatoes with jellyfish.

At this point of time, the risks of consuming these altered foods are not yet identified, since there are still further studies conducted to evaluate the impact of these foods to the human health. However, studies have shown that it can trigger allergic reactions and may create toxins that could produce any kind of disease.

People are now aware with any possibilities, thus they keep on demanding that food producers must eliminate the GMO ingredients. The good news is, most proactive food manufacturers have eliminated and stopped the use of those ingredients and labeling the products as non GMO. This is an advantage to all people who consider this product as part of their daily consumption.

Experts have also produced these supplements. However, there are still people who question the importance of taking these supplements. But, there are actually different reasons to consider supplementing your diet with high quality nutrients. It is true that food cooking, processing and preserving may lead to nutrition depletion in the supply that also makes it hard to obtain enough nutrition from the foods alone.

Every individual have genetic weaknesses, such as the needs of some nutrients, and increased possibility of expression of some illnesses if mineral or vitamin deficiencies are present. A lot of nutrients have been proven to prevent in treating health conditions, such as arthritis, high cholesterol and cancer.

Many believe that taking the right amount of vitamins in the form of healthy foods is enough to obtain the right nutrition their body needs. But, the truth is, it is not enough and require other forms of supplementation. That is why, some prefer to take supplements and eat healthy foods.
